'The Kashmir Files' producer to lose everything if 'The Vaccine War' flops

'The Kashmir Files' grossed more than Rs 350 Cr when it was released in 2022. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, its director, was also one of the producers. It has been assumed that Vivek and his wife Pallavi Joshi made at least Rs 100 Cr from that movie because the film was made on a meagre budget of Rs 20 Cr.

In a recent interview, Agnihotri stated that whatever "little" he earned from 'The Kashmir Files' has been invested in making 'The Vaccine War'. "If 'Vaccine War' doesn't work commercially, I will be back to where I was before 'Kashmir Files'," Agnihotri said.

Going by his statement, a majority of the profits from 'Kashmir Files' went to the other producer - Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts. The producer is currently making big-ticket movies such as Ravi Teja's 'Tiger Nageswara Rao'.

'Vaccine War' hits the screens this Friday (September 29) in Hindi, Telugu and other languages. The film is about the invention of an Indian vaccine against Covid-19. It's not about covid patients, frontline warriors, etc.
