Prakash Raj says 'sorry' to Siddharth

On Thursday, 'Bommarillu' fame Siddharth was in Bengaluru to promote an upcoming movie of his. As he started interacting with the media, a bunch of Kannada activists stormed into the venue and raised slogans related to the ongoing Cauvery agitation. They requested Siddharth to stop addressing the media. As per them, the 'Maha Samudram' actor is a Tamilian promoting a Tamil movie. The Cauvery issue has brought Karnataka and Tamil Nadu at loggerheads.

Siddharth was forced to end the media interaction. The actor has been extended support by many celebs and intellectuals. Prakash Raj, who is a Kannadiga, wrote, "Instead of questioning all the political parties and their leaders for failing to solve this decades-old issue. Instead of questioning the useless parliamentarians who are not pressuring the center to intervene. Troubling the common man and Artists like this can not be accepted.. as a Kannadiga .. on behalf of Kannadigas. Sorry, Siddharth."

There are those who are saying that Siddharth in the past protested against the IPL when Tamil Nadu witnessed the Cauvery protests. "He doesn't deserve any sympathy now. He has done in the past what activists have done to him now," a Twitter user wrote.
