Sankranthi 2024 is going to be the busiest in years. Usually, Sankranthi witnesses 2-3 big-ticket films and 1-2 small film releases. Next year, though, it is going to be different.
These Telugu films have confirmed their releases: Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' (January 12), Vijay Deverakonda's 13th movie, Ravi Teja's 'Eagle' (January 13), Venkatesh's 'Saindhav', Akkineni Nagarjuna's 'Naa Sami Ranga' (which is a remake), Prashanth Varma-Teja Sajja's 'Hanu-Man', Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' and 'Laal Salaam' (directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth).
The last two of the movie films are dubbed from Tamil. 'Laal Saalam' will have a cameo by Superstar Rajinikanth. If not for this fact, it won't be considered even a small release in Telugu. 'Ayalaan' and 'Hanu-Man' are alien sci-fi drama and a fantasy drama, respectively. They star small heroes (Sivakarthikeyan is no big deal in Telugu) but the genres are special.
Of all the above releases, one or two films might be postponed to Republic Day if there are issues in finding theatres. Sailesh Kolanu-directed 'Saindhav' would do well to be released in December instead of Sankranthi.
