'Yatra 2' is all set to hit the screens on February 8. Its teaser was released today by director Mahi V Raghav. Three Autumn Leaves, V Celluloids and Shiva Meka are producing the political drama in which some real-life names have been retained.
As the teaser starts, we see Jagan's character, played by Jiiva, ask a vision-impaired man why he has been waiting for YSR's son to arrive when he can barely see. "I can't see him, but it's enough that he will see me," the middle-aged man says. As the teaser progresses, political machinations led by the characters played by TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi are depicted.
In terms of production values, 'Yatra 2' is spot-on. Malayalam superstar Mammootty will be seen in a cameo as YS Rajasekhar Reddy. The depiction of the 'Odarpu Yatra', the jailing of Jagan, and his eventual emergence as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will be shown.
Mahesh Manjrekar is playing the role of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, while Suzanne Bernard is playing the role of Sonia Gandhi. Ketaki Narayanan will be seen as YS Bharathi in the film. Madhie is the cinematographer and Santosh Narayanan is providing music for the film.
