'Naa Saami Ranga' is bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Debutant director Vijay Binny has remade the Malayalam movie 'Porinju Mariam Jose'.
As per the latest buzz in the industry, the producer was not keen on a Sankranthi release. He went against the wish of Akkineni Nagarjuna. The senior actor tried to convince his producer to opt for a Sankranthi release despite the competition from 'Guntur Kaaram' and three other movies.
When the producer didn't budge, Nag reportedly gave him an irresistible offer. After the film's streaming and satellite rights were locked, the producer's headache was over to an extent. Since theatrical revenue is the most crucial part, he was worried about the tight competition at the box-office from the movies of Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh and Ravi Teja ('Eagle' has since been postponed and that's a different issue).
Nag decided to buy out 'Naa Saami Ranga' wholesale for Rs 15 Cr. The actor will pay his producer whatever is the sum after accounting for his remuneration. This way, the entire risk of the theatrical release is now on Nag. The producer has been bailed out.
Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Mirnaa Menon, Rukshar Dhillon, Karuna Kumar and others will be seen in the film. MM Keeravaani has composed the music.
