Sandalwood has been witnessing the rise of big-scale production houses like Hombale Films of late. Kannada director-producer R Chandru’s new venture RC Studios is joining the big league. On Monday, the surging banner announced five movies at once. This is touted to be a first-of-its-kind announcement by any production house in the history of Indian cinema.
"We are delighted to announce five films in a single day. The untitled projects will be formalized in the presence of honourable Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Anand Pandit of Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Lotus Developers, Mumbai. A star from Bollywood will also grace the occasion on January 23. Kannada superstar Upendra will also be present on the occasion. All projects will be pan-Indian in nature," RC Studios said in a statement.
Entrepreneur Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origin Company, Singapore and another businessman named Seekal Ramachandra Gowda will collaborate with RC Studios on these "prestigious projects".
The details of the five projects are yet to be made official. The cast and crew of the movies will mainly hail from Sandalwood.
