Content-based 'Siddharth Roy' will be a blockbuster like 'Baby': Makers

'Siddharth Roy', starring Deepak Saroj and Tanvi Negi as the lead pair, is written and directed by V Yeshasvi. Co-starring Anand, Kalyani Natarajan, Matthew Varghese, Nandini and Keerthana, its producer Jaya Adapaka today unveiled its trailer. Shree Rahda Damodar Studios, and Vihaan And Vihin Creations held a trailer launch event in Hyderabad attended by 'Baby' director Sai Rajesh as one of the guests.

The producers suggested that 'Siddharth Roy', like last year's blockbuster 'Baby', goes beyond romance and violence to offer a message. "When Yeshasvi narrated the story, he told me he was based on two slokas from the Bhagavad Gita. I decided to invest my money even though I have no film background. Whatever I have invested is thanks to the strength of the subject. This is a genuine attempt whose reach will be determined by the audience," producer Phani added.

Actress Keerthana said that Keerthi, her character in the film, is a crazy one. "I thank the producers for this opportunity," she added.

Director Yeshasvi, who recently bagged his second project with Sukumar Writings, said that the renowned novelist Yandamoori Veerendranath has helped develop the story of 'Siddharth Roy'. "His novel 'Vijayaniki Aidu Metlu' changed my life. I started reading his other novels. The ideology of his novels is the core content of 'Siddharth Roy'. As part of this film, I got to spend 4-5 months conversing with him. He offered his writing services without demanding any remuneration. That's because he loved the story of my film," Yeshasvi said.

The film has cinematography by Sam K Naidu, while the music has been rendered by Radhan. Praveen Pudi has edited it.
