Allu Arjun may have started off his career as the son of a prominent producer and he wasn’t promoted that eagerly initially. Over time, with his skill, hard work and perfect grooming he emerged as a self-made star and didn’t prefer being under the shadows of any protégé in family or film industry. Bitter it may sound, but these days he has completely moved into his own genre and doesn’t want to be treated as under someone’s patronage.
While many of his films proved his mettle, his recent film Pushpa was a massive hit, which earned him followers and hardcore fans all over India, as well as some parts of the global audience. The way Pushpa mannerisms were imitated by prominent people from different walks of life across India and even other countries was a testimony to this fact. Now, Allu Arjun seems to be thinking much bigger.
Recently, the super craze of RRR won NTR and Ram Charan worldwide fans, particularly in the US media as well. Now Bunny seems to have scaled up his ambitions as well. He is reportedly taking a pay hike for Pushpa 2 and has also conveyed to Sukumar and producers to produce it on a massive budget.
While attending Page 18 movie promos, he spoke about his global ambitions, in a subtle way. Clearly this is a hint that Bunny wants Pushpa 2 to surpass even RRR’s global mania and he too wants to emerge as a global star. However, under pressure to do so, it would be advisable that the film doesn’t lose its flavour.
The journey will lead to success and not the other way round. Hence, some fans of Bunny believe that the movie itself can do some magic and it will do wonders provided the script is meaty enough. Only a sole focus to make it global may not be the right way, although there is nothing wrong in dreaming big. It is good to dream big and still stay surefooted and let’s hope that Pushpa 2 will get the worldwide mileage that Allu Arjun really wants to get. After all, it makes Telugus and Indians proud.
Bahubali and RRR have lifted the self imposed limitations of Telugu cinema and for the first time, Tamil film makers too are working hard to beat Telugu film mania. We already reached that great stage.
