'Kannappa': First Look features Vishnu Manchu in a warrior's posture

The first look of Vishnu Manchu's magnum opus, 'Kannappa', encapsulates the titular character's early profession. The real-life personality, whose devotion is unparalleled, was known for his warrior life before he underwent a spiritual transformation.

The hero's portrayal, if the first look is anything to go by, radiates depth and intensity. "Honoured and privileged to portray the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva, 'Kannappa'. Today on MahaShivaRatri, here is your Kannappa," wrote the actor, sharing the poster.

The film is touted to be a cinematic spectacle. As per the makers, its screenplay will delve into the story of a courageous warrior who eventually becomes a great devotee of Lord Shiva. "His unwavering faith continues to inspire devotees across generations. Vishnu Manchu, renowned for his dedication, embodies this legendary character with fervor and reverence," the makers said.

Produced by Mohan Babu and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film features Prabhas in a scintillating cameo. Then there are actors like Mohan Lal and Sarathkumar in other important roles. Preity Mukundan, Brahmanandam, Madhoobala, Siva Balaji, Kaushal Manda, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmaji, Raghu Karamanchi, Arpit Ranka, among others, are playing different roles.
