Gudivada has more or less become a fortress for the ruling MLA and YSRCP leader Kodali Nani. Nani has been winning all elections here and it is not an easy task to dislodge Nani from the crucial segment where the TDP founder NTR has his roots.
The TDP is quite serious on fighting Nani because the party feels he has crossed all limits to attack Chandrababu and his family personally. Hence there has been a talk that one of NTR's grandsons from the Nandamuri family or a powerful NRI will contest here.
The TDP leader here, Raavi Venkateshwar Rao recently announced that he will be the TDP candidate next time also. The TDP cadre feel that if Raavi is indeed the candidate the writing on the wall is clear, that is TDP's defeat once again. They feel Raavi is no match and wonder whether Babu has given up any hope of winning here.
