History has revealed that a landslide victory for any party will happen only once and such a phenomenon is seen only once a decade. After the great N T Rama Rao's victory in 1983 when he started TDP, such a phenomenon was seen in 2019 when Y S Jagan entered the fray with his YSRCP. A large contribution to that victory came from the elections mastermind Prashant Kishore.

In the last few years, Prashant Kishore has earned the tag of being a mastermind in bringing parties to power and his track record is impeccable. Now, it is heard that YSRCP is roping in Prashant Kishore once again for the upcoming election and their target is to repeat the act and achieve the historic record of winning all the 175 seats again.

As such, Prashant Kishore is known to be very methodical in his approach and he has very uninhibited views on certain things. If what he suggests is not followed he tends to move away from that party. While that is one side, achieving a landslide is not an easy task. One of the main challenges could be the stiff opposition from TDP and BJP. And if TDP and Jana Sena form an alliance, there is a threat to the vote bank as well as it could lead to a significant split.

On the other hand, the 2019 victory was also due to the Jagan charisma and the long craving of many YSR loyalists to see his son become the CM. Thirdly, if PK's team enters the arena and a victory happens, the credit will go to him rather than all those party cadres and Jagan fans who have been sweating it out since the last few years. Amidst all this, it remains to be seen how segmented PK's role will be and how Jagan will balance this association.
