According to latest reports, YSRCP has done a clean sweep of the MLC seats to be filled in the local body quota. A total of nine posts are to be filled. Five of these seats have already been won unanimously by YSRCP.  Elections were held for the remaining four seats. YSRCP candidates won both seats in Srikakulam Kurnool West Godavari district where the elections were held since 90 percent of the local bodies are already with the party.

The Election Commission announced the results after the counting was done on Thursday for the four constituencies where the elections were held. According to this YSRCP candidate Nartu Rama Rao got 632 votes in Srikakulam district. Here the independent candidate who contested against Rama Rao got 108 votes.

Dr. Madhusudan who contested on behalf of YSRCP in Kurnool got 988 votes. Kavuru Srinivasa Rao, Vanka Ravindra who contested on behalf of the ruling party in West Godavari district won. Kavuru got 481 votes while Vanka got 460 votes.

Now all the focus is on the results from the remaining five seats. TDP and left parties have allied with PDF as their target is to defeat YSRCP. They have also taken the support of Janasena leaders. Let's see how the final results will be.
