Here's great news to cheer for the government as well as the people of Andhra Pradesh to feel that their state is ahead in certain things. At a time like this, it is a rare achievement to compete at the national level and surpass the rest of the states. According to the Animal Husbandry Basic Statistics 2022 released by the Central Animal Husbandry Department, AP stands at the top in this sector.
The report revealed that AP has stood first in the production of chicken eggs across the country. At the same time, Telangana, another Telugu state, stood at the third position. It is noteworthy that among the eggs produced in the country, 20.41 percent of the eggs were produced in AP.
According to the report, 12.86 percent is produced from Telangana while Tamil Nadu came second. The state is said to be producing 16.08 percent with an annual growth rate of 6.19 percent achieved in egg production.
Statistics make it clear that if AP is ahead in egg production, Rajasthan is at the top in milk production. While 15.05 percent of the milk produced in the whole country is produced from Rajasthan alone, the next place is given to Uttar Pradesh. After that, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat stood at three and four positions. The report reveals that AP is at the fifth position. Egg production is an indication of nutritious content and AP government's policies towards rural incomes has definitely helped to gain this advantage.
