The murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy, which gained national attention before the 2019 general elections, has taken a new turn with the entry of Viveka's second wife, Shaik Shameem. Shameem, who belongs to the Muslim minority, is now demanding a share in the properties owned by Viveka, and her lawyer has stated that they will file a petition in the Telangana High Court based on the will written by Viveka.
However, many questions arise regarding Shameem's sudden appearance and her demand for a share in Viveka's properties. Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy had disclosed about Viveka's second wife, and he claimed that the personal tussle between Viveka's daughter, Dr. Sunitha Reddy, and Shameem might have led to Viveka's murder.
It is noteworthy that Shameem or her family had never appeared before the media in the past four years since Viveka's murder. This may lead to a new twist as the Supreme Court has given time to CBI to wrap up its investigations by the end of this month, questioning the inordinate delay in this high-profile case. Observers are now wondering if Shameem's appearance is a gimmick to divert the case or if there are big heads behind Viveka's murder.
