In India, political parties depend on financial contributions from their supporters. A significant portion of illegal funds, also known as "black money," often ends up in party coffers. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has historically received substantial support from the affluent Kamma community residing abroad.

Nonetheless, apprehensions have arisen that the party may not prioritize their interests once they assume power. Over time, TDP leaders have accumulated vast amounts of donations, with many Kamma non-resident Indians (NRIs) contributing generously with the expectation of acquiring land in the Amaravathi area. Unfortunately, the party's funds appear to be dwindling, and Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP leader, is expanding his fundraising efforts to include all Telugus residing in the United States to obtain more financial backing.

During recent tours, Naidu urged people to become TDP members and donate, employing all possible strategies to ensure the party's long-term financial stability. However, it is regrettable that the party is compelled to seek financial aid to cover legal expenses and other financial obligations.
