YS Viveka's murder interrogation by the CBI has become a hot topic now. What happens if anybody from YSRCP is found guilty at the end? When this question was posted in social media, several answers came to light. While many opined that YSRCP will be dethroned by the voters, others wrote against that opinion. Here is a critical opinion that caught attention.
"The current political climate indicates that voters tend to prioritize the welfare schemes implemented by the government over the personal criminal record of their leaders if any.
As long as the voters are content with the benefits provided to them, they tend to overlook the unethical conduct of their leaders. This sentiment is reflected in the fact that despite the mystery surrounding the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy, the ruling YSRCP does not seem to be affected by the controversy. If anyone in the government is eventually found guilty, it is unlikely to have a significant impact on the party's support base.
This is partly because the assassination took place during the rule of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which heavily campaigned against the YSRCP. Despite this, the YSRCP was able to secure a resounding victory in the elections. Thus, it appears that the voters' satisfaction with the party's welfare schemes and their trust in the leadership outweighed any negative campaigning or allegations".
This highlights the welfare schemes and the general governance that decides the fate of political parties in the eyes of voters rather than anything personal.
