Today, CM Jagan distributed the sixth payment of the YSR Fishery Assurance Funds at Nizampatnam, Bapatla District. By clicking a computer button, Rs 231 crore was released into the accounts of 1,23,519 fishermen.
Speaking at the YSR Fishery Assurance Programme, Jagan assured the people that despite various demands from Opposition parties over the previous 15 years, he has never compromised in his efforts.
Criticising the opposition, he stated, "If I meet with the Prime Minister, they will start spreading false news about me. Chandrababu can only think of BC, SC, ST, and minorities during elections. Nothing comes to me when I attempt to recall what good he has done for the people here, except for cheating. If he is in power, he resides in Amaravati; otherwise, he resides in Jubilee Hills."
He questioned Naidu's leadership, claiming that Naidu's role was to steal AP and live in Hyderabad.
He claimed that Chandrababu lacks the competence to contest 175 seats and the courage to organise meetings. He wondered what good such individuals could possibly do for the people of AP.
"In the previous government, little help was given to the fishermen," he stated, reminding them of what he is doing for the welfare of fishermen and what the TDP government did. “The TDP administration spent only Rs.104 crore over five years, but we are giving Rs.231 crore in only one."
"The difference between the previous government and our government should be noted," Jagan told the people, adding, "Previously, subsidy was given to just 1,100 boats, now we are giving subsidy to 20,000 boats."
