Jagan assures of 5024 TIDCO houses for the poor

On Thursday, Andhra Pradesh state chief minister and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy met with the Housing Department in the state. Officials told the CM on the occasion that 3.70 lakh houses have been constructed so far under the 'Navaratnaalu Pedalandariki illu' project, for which the government has spent Rs. 1,085 crore in the previous 45 days. 5.01 lakh houses would be finished in the next 45 days, while 8.64 lakh are in different phases of post-basement level construction, they said, adding that attempts are being taken to speed the process.
The CM directed authorities to expedite the development of low-income housing in the CRDA region. He directed authorities to make the necessary arrangements for the distribution of TIDCO-built houses, as well as the distribution of housing plots in the CRDA region. According to the government, 5024 TIDCO houses would be built.
He requested that officials prioritise the construction and distribution of housing to the homeless as quickly as feasible.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Jagan participated in Chandi, Rudra, Raja Syamala, and Sudarshana Sahita Sri Lakshmi Maha Yagam on the sixth and final day. This was the first of its kind Maha Yagam to be performed with 108 kundalas. The Chief Minister had also participated in yagam on the first day on May 11.
