AP govt decides to drag Pawan to court

AP government headed by CM Jagan decided to drag Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to the court over his remarks against the volunteers and volunteer system in the state. It is known that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan during his Varahi yatra criticized the Jagan government and the volunteer system and shocked all saying volunteers are indulging in data breaches and transfers and this is resulting in large-scale human trafficking. He added that volunteers are behind the missing women in Andhra Pradesh and his sources from the Intelligence Agencies in Delhi informed him about the same.

This resulted in huge controversy and volunteers and YSRCP leaders attacked Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. Even AP Women's Commission sent notices to Pawan Kalyan asking him to furnish proof for his allegations. Pawan Kalyan failed to do so but he reiterated his comments and this infuriated the AP government.

According to the latest, the AP government decided to move to Court against Pawan Kalyan's comments. The state government has decided to take legal recourse against the Jana Sena chief under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. Issuing an order to the Public Prosecutor, the Special Chief Secretary Ajay Jain has instructed to file a defamation case against Pawan Kalyan.
