Pawan Kalyan to turn NDA president?

The National Democratic Alliance meeting was held in Delhi a couple of days ago and it was attended by the political forces that are close to BJP. JanaSena's Pawan Kalyan too took part in the meeting and he was seen in a joyous mood there. He stood right behind Modi in the photo shoot session following the meeting.

This is all that was needed for local Telugu media to cook up stories on Pawan's say in national politics. Incidentally, Mahaa News has reported that they are informed by their Delhi sources that Pawan will be appointed as the NDA president. They reported that the BJP is inclined towards appointing Pawan as the NDA chief for the next election.

Usually, the NDA president post is given to someone who has an influential say in the national politics. More often than not, it is given to a leader who runs a party that has representation in the parliament.

But in the case of JanaSena, the party doesn't even have a say in Andhra Pradesh political affairs, let alone being a recognized force in the parliament. The party has 0 MPs. Amidst this adversity, the JanaSena chief getting appointed as the NDA chief does sound odd. There could be very little credence to the same.
