Lokesh: We will cancel Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena

Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena have been two of the flagship implementation of the YS Jagan-led YCP government in Andhra Pradesh. As a part of these schemes, the Jagan government is depositing the money equivalent to the tuition and residence fees for ITI, Degree, Polytechnic, Engineering, and Medicine students in the state.

This is one of the well measured and meticulously carried out schemes commissioned by the chief minister Jagan and this has been directly benefiting lakhs of students in Andhra Pradesh.

In a new shocking announcement, TDP's Nara Lokesh has confirmed that if TDP comes to power, these two schemes will be scrapped. "Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena schemes will be scrapped once TDP comes to power. We will not credit the money to the beneficiaries but directly give it to the educational institutions. This will be a one time settlement" he said.

While Jagan is taking these schemes into the masses, Lokesh coming out and saying the TDP government will scrap these schemes, that too right before the elections might not serve the yellow party very well.
