AP DGP takes on Pawan Kalyan. It is known that Pawan Kalyan, chief of Jana Sena has been adopting a no-holds-bar approach regarding the volunteer system and volunteers in the state. He made shocking allegations that volunteers are behind the women trafficking and cited that his sources in Delhi shared with him that they are behind the missing women.

He is using the Union Government's reply in the Parliament regarding missing women in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to corner AP CM Jagan and put him in the backfoot. In the midst of all this, AP DGP Kasireddy Rajendranath Reddy speaking to scribes clarified on Pawan Kalyan's allegations.

He said “The claims of 30,000 people missing in AP are baseless and one should look at the statistics before making such statements and accusations,” He added 'Married women and girls are leaving their homes due to various reasons such as social conflict, disagreement with family members, depression, failing in exams, love affairs and others. In most of the cases, the missing women are traced in less than a month or not more than three months. There are only 2,705 pending cases of women missing in the State,'

He said law and order in enforced in the state with tough measures and observed “The number of cases registered against ganja smugglers has increased by two times. Coordination meetings are held with Odisha officials to prevent ganja smuggling,”
