In a major development before the general elections in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh CID.
Chandrababu Naidu was taken into custody at Nandyal earlier today and he was shifted to the CID office for further investigation. This is in connection with the AP Skill Development scam that has been in a prime discussion in Andhra Pradesh for many years now.
The TDP chief urged his party cadre not to indulge in any violent acts in the wake of his arrest and urged them to remain calm. He advised them against any riots.
Incidentally, Nara Lokesh was also detained by the police department earlier today and he is kept away from public. He announced that he does not intend to rest until he gets justice for his father. He vows to fight for the cause.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao and his son were also arrested in connection with this case and they are in police custody now. More details will be out in the due course.
