Will Balakrishna sacrifice his seat for Lokesh?

Nara Lokesh faced a humiliating defeat in Mangalagiri constituency in 2019. However, he had been proudly claiming that he will still not leave the constituency and still contest from here in the 2024 elections.

However, the sources close to TDP are saying that the bravado that Lokesh is showing about contesting from Mangalagiri again is a fake one. He is said to be contemplating a change of constituencies in 2024.

There is a strong chance that Lokesh could contest from Hindupur in 2024, it seems. For that to happen, Balakrishna will have to vacate the constituency and leave it to Lokesh.

Lokesh had already lost 2019 election from Mangalagiri and if he loses again, it wont just be embarrassing for him personally but also for TDP. IT could also have catastrophic effects on TDP's future with Chandrababu, who is aged 73 and cant be too active in TDP for too longer.

So, in all likelihood, Lokesh could move to Hindupur which has been a safe bet for TDP for many years along with the customarily strong Kuppam constituency, which CBN so dearly loves.
