Jaya Badiga has been appointed to the Sacramento Superior Court! She was serving as Court Commissioner since 2022 and have established as an expert in family law. She is a teacher and mentor to many. The Judge was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and completed her initial education in Hyderabad.
Jaya was Bachelor of Arts In Psychology and Political Science from 1991 to 1994 in Osmania University Hyderabad. She was a Sole Practitioner from 2018 to 2022. She served as an Attorney at the California Department of Health Care Services and at California Governor's Office of Emergency Service.
Badiga earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and International Communications from Boston University. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Robert S. Lapham.
