The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday morning, concerning a case registered in Bangalore with regards to the Rameshwaram Cafe blast.
According to the reports, in Anantapur, NIA operatives targeted the residence of retired teacher Abdul in Raidurgam Town, detaining his son Sohel, currently employed at a software company in Bangalore. The investigation stemmed from significant financial transactions into Sohel's account, prompting scrutiny by NIA officials. Sohel was subsequently transferred to Raidurgam police station for questioning regarding potential links with terrorist organizations.
In this case, the reports suggest that a floor manager, who observed the suspect dining at the café, has emerged as a pivotal witness in the ongoing investigation.
