The Karnataka BJP recently faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Congress party. It is said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have asked the state unit of the party to do whatever it takes to reconnect with the masses.
As part of the effort to understand the thinking of the people of Karnataka, the state unit has decided to field its office bearers, and former and current MLAs and MPs to religiously visit as many as five million homes in a span of five days starting June 21.
The party functionaries and leaders will talk to voters and understand their grievances. Depending on feedback from the ground, the saffron party will come out with a strategy ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Already, BJP is doing its best to mend fences with JD(S). It's likely that the two parties are going to contest in alliance in 2024. If that happens, Vokkaliga voters will back BJP without an iota of doubt, as a Vokkaliga hasn't been made Chief Minister by the Congress party.
