KCR staying away from AP? Telangana CM KCR took a daring decision to turn his party into the national party and changed the party name from TRS to BRS. He is already visiting various states to expand his party. He is actively touring the states like Maharashtra and also oped the party offices with much fanfare and also announced that he will contest all 288 assembly seats and 48 MP seats in Maharashtra.
Many thought that KCR will also enter the state of AP. When he made comments against the AP government and its present condition compared with that of Telangana, many thought it is only a matter of time, before KCR's BRS enter into AP and fight the elections As such even KTR and Harish Rao made fun of the current rule and the AP politicians.
But many feel that KCR is staying away from AP. For any national party to contest elections in a particular state, that party should register itself with the state election commission. Except for appointing former IAS officer Thota Chandrasekhar as the BRS chief for AP and announcing that he would start a new party office, he did not complete all formalities. All these are sending signals that KCR's BRS may stay away from AP in the next elections. It is known that KCR's BRS shares a good relationship with AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
