Telangana BJP is leaving no stone unturned to defeat the all-powerful CM KCR and the ruling BRS which is eyeing for a hattrick in the next elections. In the midst of all this, reports are coming that BJP which is known for its apathy towards Muslims, is now planning to woo them. It is known that Muslim votes are more in Telangana compared to Christians.
So T-BJP is devising attractive strategies to woo Muslims and vote for them in the coming elections. It is planning to concentrate on Muslim-dominated constituencies in the old city. This is increasing the speculation as to why BJP for the first time is concentrating on winning the confidence of the Muslims.
Analysts say BJP is keen to weaken the MIM headed by Asaduddin Owaisi. It is of the opinion that if it weakens MIM, then indirectly it can knock out KCR and BRS. To achieve that it is planning a strategy to win more seats out of the seven seats in the old city and also reduce the number of votes for the MIM. It is planning to field BJP top leader Syed Jaffer Islam as its candidate in one of the constituencies. Similarly, it is planning to make its top Mulsim leaders contest from the old city and send signals that the party is not against Muslims. However, in Old City, only Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh is fighting against MIM singlehandedly. However, BJP suspended him and the top brass is not entertaining him or lifting the suspension.
