Union Minister Kishan Reddy alleged that the Dharani portal was introduced to swiftly continue land businesses by BRS party members. He said that after the introduction of the Dharani portal, many new land issues took place. Lakhs of farmers are said to be facing trouble with the Dharani portal. Farmers have to go through the courts for justice.
Kishan Reddy said that land disputes have increased with the Dharani portal. Dharani said that nearly 10 lakh applications in various categories are pending with the authorities. He criticised the fact that there is no option in Dharani to correct the mistakes recorded in the pass books. The CM said that mutation happens within minutes in Dharani; it is transparent, and there is no corruption, but it is contrary to that at the field level.
Kishan Reddy alleged that legal land is being recorded as prohibitory land overnight and causing problems for people. He alleged that the government is engaging in land encroachment.
Kishan Reddy alleged that Dharani is for the pink leaders, and because of this portal, middlemen and ruling party leaders are encroaching on people's lands in the name of Dharani. The courts have also said that Dharani is a portal to nurture brokers.
Kishan Reddy questioned why the cabinet sub-committee was set up if there were no issues in Dharani. Has the Cabinet subcommittee given a report? Kishan Reddy demanded that the government reveal how many complaints were received on land issues in Dharani and how many were resolved.
