The incident of a young woman named Apsara (30) dying at the hands of a Hyderabad-based priest named Ayyagari Venkat Surya Sai Krishna has shocked the Telugu States. The individual, who asserted responsibility for the murder of Apsara, citing her persistent harassment and demands for marriage despite knowing that he was already married, has been detained in Cherlapally prison.
In an interview with a YouTube channel, DCP Narayana Reddy has spoken about the modus operandi followed by the priest. "Nowadays, owing to the knowledge disseminated by OTT shows and crime thrillers, even amateur killers are thinking like professional killers. Sai Krishna killed Apsara and kept her dead body in his vehicle for more than a day. After it started exuding a foul smell, he chose the backyard of the MRO office in Saroor Nagar to dump the victim's body in the septic tank over there. He ordered two big bags of crystal salt to fill the septic tank with," the cop said.
He further added, "Since he regularly organizes 'Nithya Anna Danam' drives, nobody questioned him why he needed two big loads of salt. He told people in the vicinity that he wants to carry out social service and that his plan was to install a borewell (on the premises where Apsara's body was hidden). He was doing the cover-up by making everyone believe that he was doing some selfless activity," the DCP revealed.
The DCP also suggested that it's suspected that Allu Arjun's 'DJ' might have influenced Sai Krishna to want to lead a parallel life.
