Former MLA Kothakota Dayakar Reddy passed away. Kothakota Dayakar Reddy was the most senior politician in Telangana and represented the Mathkal constituency on a TDP ticket from Mahabubnagar district in Telangana. Kothakota Dayakar Reddy has been suffering from ill health for quite some time and he breathed his last after battling bravely at the AIG Hospital, Hyderabad on Tuesday night.
Dayakar Reddy who had been suffering from ill health, after receiving treatment for the same got discharged and went to his native place Parkapuram, ChinnaChintakunta Mandal, Mahabubnagar. However, with his health deteriorating and his condition becoming serious, he returned back to Hyderabad and got admitted to AIG Hospital.
He breathed his last receiving treatment at the AIG, Hospitals. Top politicians cutting across party lines condoled the death of Kothakota Dayakar Reddy. Dayakar Reddy won from Amarachinta constituency in 1994 and 1999 and later Mathkal in 2009 representing TDP.
Even his wife Sita worked as the ZP chairman representing TDP. She won as the MLA from the Devarakadra constituency. The couple quit TDP in August 2022 and they broke down to tears saying that they were quitting TDP only under unavoidable circumstances. Though rumors spread that they would join Congress, they did not do so. Telangana CM KCR, TDP chief Chandra Babu, Nara Lokesh, and others condoled the death of Kothakota Dayakar Reddy.
