BRS and BJP clashed and this resulted in an increase in tensions at Gunpark, Hyderabad. It is known that BRS government is celebrating decennial celebrations commemorating the formation of Telangana state. The government has been organizing various events and programs over the last few days and CM KCR has been showering all sections of people with various welfare schemes.
Today he is inaugurating the Martyrs Memorial and pay tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting for the separate state of Telangana. Later he will also felicitate the family members of the martyrs. In the midst of all this, opposition parties like BJP and Congress started organizing protests against BRS government accusing CM KCR of looting the public money for party activities.
Cops already arrested Congress leaders in their houses and in the meantime, BJP workers started protesting reaching the Gunpark. There BRS workers clashed with the BJP workers and this increased the tension vitiating the atmosphere. BRS and BJP leaders nearly came to blows as BJP corporators took up a mock Assembly with pictures of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, and Minister KT Rama Rao, which was opposed by the BRSV activists.
The BRS leaders took objection to the mock Assembly and raised slogans against the BJP leaders. Police find it difficult to control the fighting leaders of both parties and in the meantime, people thronged the venue to attend the inauguration of the martyrs' memorial.
