YSR soul on Sharmila and Congress. Much has been spoken and written about YSR's daughter Sharmila and her entry into the Congress party. Ever since the Congress party victory in Karnataka, rumors increased that Sharmila would merge her party YSRTP in the Congress. Reports came that Sharmila despite her hard efforts failed to make much inroads in the Telangana and she held discussions with DK. Shivakumar, Karnataka Deputy CM and she will merge her party in Congress on 8 July 2023 after paying respects to her dad, former CM of AP YSR at Idupulapaya on his birth anniversary.
Sharmila however rubbished all the rumors and asked the scribes to concentrate on the large-scale corruption of KCR and the ruling BRS. Even though Sharmila rubbished the rumors, Congress leaders on various occasions made it clear that talks with Sharmila is in the final stages and an official announcement about her joining the party will be coming soon.
In the meantime, KVP.Ramachandra Rao, Congress RS MP and regarded as the soul of YSR shared his thoughts on Sharmila's entry into the party. Speaking at Gannavaram, after meeting Rahul Gandhi, he said the Congress party will welcome Sharmila, daughter of YSR into its fold. He said Congress is working hard to come to power in Andhra Pradesh and once it comes to power at the center it will solve all the problems of the state. He said YSRCP and TDP are not doing anything for the state.
