Raghunandan Rao arrested. BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao of late is hogging the media limelight for one or the other reason. During the latest few days, Raghunandan Rao has been making serious allegations against the party leadership at the state and the centre. His comments against Bandi Sanjay alleging Rs 100crs fraud came as a shocker.
Following this, the ruling BRS leaders started demanding a probe into his allegations against Sanjay, and some even lodged police complaints. Now according to the latest, Raghunandan Rao, Dubbaka MLA has been arrested by the police. Police detained him at Air Force Station and taken to Alwal Police while he was on the way to Gajwel from Hyderabad.
Raghunandan Rao planned to meet the Hindu youth who were affected by the clashes over the installation of the Chatrapathi Shivaji statue at Gajwel. Clashes erupted when a person supposedly a Muslim under the influence of alcohol urinated in front of the Shivaji statue. This resulted in subsequent rallies and counter-rallies by both communities which vitiated the atmosphere and resulted in clashes. Commissioner of Police Swetha tried to pacify both groups invain.
His arrest was condemned by the state BJP leaders Eatela Rajender and others called Raghunandan Rao and found out the current situation. They lashed out at CM KCR and the BRD government for getting scared to take action against the other community for fear of losing their votes.
