Telangana state is witnessing incessant rains and heavy rains are lashing the city of Hyderabad. Following this, Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy declared two days of holidays to educational institutions across the state. Sabitha Indra Reddy posted "Keeping in view of the heavy rainfall in the state and under the instructions of the Honourable CM, KCR Garu, the Govt has decided to declare holidays for two days to all education institutions in the state. That is Thursday and Friday."
She made this announcement at 8.20 AM on Thursday but many are finding fault with her. Parents have been questioning what's the point of declaring holidays when students leave for school by 7.30 AM itself. Opposition BJP leader Raghunandan Rao came up with a satire on Sabitha Indra Reddy.
He posted "Special thanks to the Education Minister who wakes up after the children go to school and declares holidays for schools." It has to be seen how the BRS government and Minister Sabitha react to this criticism. In the meantime, CM KCR and the Telangana government asked people not to venture in the streets until it is urgent.
