Supreme Court today heard note for vote case on TPCC chief Revanth Reddy. Supreme Court after the proceedings decided to postpone the hearing on 28 August on the petitions filed by Revanth Reddy and BRS MLA Sandra Venkata Veerayya.
Lawyers on behalf of Revanth Reddy have written a letter to the Supreme Court to postpone the hearing of the case due to some unavoidable reasons. Lawyers for the Telangana state government objected to this. The lawyers for Telangana requested that the investigation of the case should be taken up immediately as they had no prior information about the letter being sent.
In view of the seriousness of the case, the government lawyers requested that the trial not be postponed. A bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Bela, and M Trivedi dissented. The bench advised Revanth Reddy's lawyers not to seek adjournment once again saying that the hearing will be held on August 28.
Now it has to be seen what Revanth Reddy got in store when the case is taken up for hearing by the Supreme Court on 28 August 2023. It is known that Telangana cops arrested Revanth Reddy for offering money to BRS MLAs to vote against BRS and he was sent to Chanchalguda Jail.
