YS Sharmila had announced that she will be active in Telangana politics henceforth and she even floated her own party, YSRTP through which she hoped to influence Telangana politics.
But at what cost? Sharmila decided to leave Jagan's side and test her luck in Telangana politics. Now, she is no longer relevant in Telangana politics and is set to merge YSRTP in Congress party.
Henceforth, Sharmila will be seen as just another Congress party leader in Telangana. This isn't what she aimed for when she was planning to make it big in Telangana politics back in the day.
Had Sharmila been by Jagan's side in AP, she could've been an unassailable force and gotten the love and admiration of YSR followers. She has ruined the prospects by joining the Telangana politics bandwagon and eventually become one amongst Congress Telangana wing.
