The chief minister of Telangana and BRS national president, KCR was dealt with a shocker of sorts after his party's Malkajgiri MLA candidate Mynampally Hanumantha Rao left the party even after being announced as the candidate officially.
Mynampally left the party over the reason that his son, Mynampally Rohith wasn't promised the MLA ticket by the BRS high command. He is joining Congress Party today.
Now, it is established that KCR has taken the Malkajgiri constituency very seriously. He has replaced Mynampally with Marri Rajasekhar Reddy as the party candidate.
Marri Rajasekhar Reddy was given the MLA ticket here and he held a rally with over 15,000 people locally as a show of power. He will file the nomination on BRS behalf.
This will now mean that Mynampally will contest from Malkajgiri on Congress ticket while Marri Rajasekhar Reddy be fielded by BRS. It is heard that KCR will specially focus on this constituency and even extensively campaign here as he wishes to politically strike down Mynampally who tried to do damage for the party.
