At first, the Lulu Group was planning to set up one of its outlets in Andhra Pradesh. But the plan fell through in the last minute with adverse situations in the state.
Then, Telangana IT minister KTR came into action and he worked on getting the Lulu outlet to Hyderabad. Cut to now, Lulu group has opened its first hypermarket in India with the outlet in Hyderabad that was opened today.
"Fantastic addition to Hyderabad's retail scene! Telangana’s first-ever Lulu Mall by the UAE-based retailer LuLu Group is ready to welcome customers in Hyderabad.
IT, Industries and MA&UD Minister @KTRBRS inaugurated Lulu Mall covering 5 lakh sq. ft in Hyderabad." The statement from the ministry of IT and Media read.
"Congratulations to LuLu Group and all the best to this promising endeavor! Lulu Group's proposed investment of 3,500 Cr in Telangana is going to play a vital role in supporting local agricultural and trade sectors, and creating more job opportunities for Telangana's youth.": Minister KTR stated at the event where he inaugurated the mall.
