G Niranjan, TPCC Vice-President & Chairman, Election Commission Coordination Committee held a press meet on May 1, 2024 at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech at the BJP election meeting at Alladurgam in Medak district yesterday was completely hateful and misled people with lies.
Niranjan said that Modi made comments that were against the election rules and intended to damage the reputation of the Congress. “He spewed venom on Veteran Congress leaders including Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He said Since the birth of the constitution, the Congress hates the constitution, if you look at the copy of the constitution given by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, there is Ramayana, Mahabharata pictures in every paper, a wonderful experiment was done to add our culture and traditions to the constitution, and he started a false campaign that the Congress hid the first copy of the constitution in locker.
“It is against the rules to mention religion and caste as per the election rules. If the Election Commission does not put a stop to this poisonous campaign, there is a danger of chaos in the country,” said Niranjan.
