Hyderabad BJP MP candidate Madhavi Latha Kompella has been busy on Monday. She has been visiting multiple polling booths, hurling allegations against her rival, Asaduddin Owaisi. As per her, the AIMIM has ensured that the polling is rigged in Hyderabad. A news agency quoted her as saying that about 90% of polling booths have been compromised.
A while ago, the official account of Telangana BJP wrote, "Day light rigging by Owaisi and his henchmen caught on camera! Police are mute spectators in the interiors of Old City. Desperation is clear."
The saffron party also alleged that there was an attempt to attack her vehicle in the Old City. "Today, it happened in Patha Basthi. Tomorrow, it could be replicated across Telangana. We have to safeguard our own future," the BJP wrote on social media.
Madhavi Latha is worried that low voter turnout in the constituency could mean that she would be defeated badly. She has been going out of her way to make emotional appeals. "I want to appeal to my voter brothers and sisters, that every vote you cast will not just take Hyderabad and Telangana but the whole nation forward. Your vote will give the much-needed change in Hyderabad and Telangana," she urged.
