In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Telangana witnessed a voter turnout of 64.93 percent, surpassing the 2019 figure of 62.77 percent.
While the urban constituencies such as Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, and Chevella, known for traditionally low turnout rates, saw a slight increase in participation compared to the previous polls. On the other hand, Bhongir, Khammam, and Medak constituencies registered the highest turnouts.
Despite the Election Commission of India's efforts to boost voter participation, the overall impact on turnout remained relatively modest. The 2024 Lok Sabha polls concluded on Monday evening, marking an important milestone in Telangana's democratic process.
