Popular South Indian actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal have found themselves entangled in a cryptocurrency fraud case, with the Puducherry police seeking to question them regarding their alleged involvement.

The case revolves around a Coimbatore-based company that launched in 2022, promising investors high returns on cryptocurrency investments. However, the company allegedly defrauded investors, leading to significant financial losses, with some individuals reportedly losing crores of rupees.

Tamannaah Bhatia's connection to the case stems from her attendance at the company's launch event, while Kajal Aggarwal participated in a separate corporate event where top investors were rewarded. The police are investigating whether the actresses were simply endorsing the events or had a deeper financial involvement in the company.

Preliminary investigations reveal that investors from Puducherry alone have lost over Rs. 2.4 crores, with one retired government employee claiming to have been defrauded of a staggering Rs. 40 crores.

While official statements from the actresses are still awaited, this case has cast a shadow over their careers and raised questions about celebrity endorsements and due diligence.

Upcoming Projects:

Despite this controversy, both Tamannaah and Kajal have several projects in the pipeline. Tamannaah recently participated in the grand teaser launch of her upcoming Telugu film "Odela 2" at the Maha Kumbh 2025. Kajal Aggarwal is set to star in the Salman Khan-starrer "Sikandar" and will also make a special appearance as Devi Parvati in Vishnu Manchu's "Kannappa."

This case serves as a reminder of the potential risks associated with celebrity endorsements and the importance of thorough investigation before associating with any company or investment scheme. The outcome of the police investigation remains to be seen, and it will undoubtedly have implications for both the actresses and the industry as a whole.
