It is a common practice to seek inspiration from real life characters and then come up with characterization of key characters in movies. The eccentric Ram Gopal Varma has done that several times and now another director has done something similar but it seems to have sent a different message.

Director Gopichandh Mallineni is currently basking in the success of his recent release 'Veera Simha Reddy' featuring Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna. Recently, he was sharing his thoughts wherein he mentioned that he designed the character of Balayya getting inspired by the Rayalaseema politician Paritala Ravi who was slain brutally.

Gopichandh reportedly added he was inspired by many facets of Paritala which he incorporated in the film. Well, Balayya was into mega butchering in the movie and he would have killed hundreds. Those who heard Gopichandh's statements are now asking if he is concluding that even Paritala was a murderer. Let's hope Gopichandh clarifies before it snowballs into a controversy.
