Allu Arjun today won the National Award in the Best Actor category for his performance in 'Pushpa'. He is the first male Telugu actor to win the award in the history of Telugu cinema.
While Bunny has created history by doing so, it should shock everyone that acting greats such as NT Rama Rao, ANR, Krishna and Chiranjeevi never won a National Award despite their unparalleled exploits.
Be that as it may, Bunny totally deserves the recognition. When 'Pushpa' was out, his acting was subjected to scrutiny by film critics and audiences alike. While reviews were glowing about his performance, nobody felt that he was superlative. Nobody predicted a National Award.
Bunny, known for films like 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', will next be seen in 'Pushpa 2'. His performance will be subjected to even more intense scrutiny and nothing less than perfection will be expected from him. Credit also goes to director Sukumar for extracting the best from Bunny.
'Pushpa 2', produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has been made on a grand scale. The National Award and the buzz around it will surely enhance the potential of its openings.
