'Akhanda 2', the much-vaunted sequel to 'Akhanda', has been confirmed yet again. Speaking at the pre-release event of 'Skanda' on Saturday, director Boyapati Srinu said that the sequel is only a matter of time. It is not a matter of whether but of when.
'Akhanda' was released in December 2021. Last year, on the sidelines of an event, Nandamuri Balakrishna said that a sequel to the blockbuster film will surely be there. More than a year later, Boyapati is yet to confirm when it is going to go on the floors.
Balakrishna and Boyapati are rumoured to be planning to announce the film in the last quarter of 2024 or in early 2025.
Meanwhile, Balayya awaits the release of 'Bhagavanth Kesari' on October 19. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the action entertainer has Sree Leela and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles.
As for Boyapati, his next directorial, 'Skanda', is going to hit the screens on September 15. Starring Ram Pothineni and Sree Leela in lead roles, the film also features Munishkanth, Indraja, Srikanth, Saiee Manjrekar and others.
