Actress Anjali's 'Geethanjali' was released 9 years ago. And the actress is back to do its sequel now. Titled 'Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi', the film is presented by Kona Venkat under Kona Film Corporation. Produced by MVV Cinemas, the horror-comedy marks the 50th landmark film in the career of the 'Journey' and 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' actress. The movie went on the floors today.
Directed by debutant Shiva Turlapati, the film will be released in the first half of 2024. Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Ali, Brahmaji, and Ravi Shankar are playing different roles. Satya is expected to get the most screen space following Srinivas Reddy and Satyam Rajesh.
Praveen Lakkaraju (music) and Suhatha Siddhartha (cinematography) are working on the movie, whose story has been written by Kona Venkat. Producers MVV Satyanarayana and GV will announce the release date of 'Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi' later this year.
This one is Anjali's most important Telugu film in years. Although she is doing 'Gangs Of Godavari', it is not a lead role for her. On the other hand, the sequel to 'Geethanjali' is a proper heroine-centric film for her.
