Vijay Deverakonda's 'Kushi' is going to stream on Netflix from October 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the heroine. "Andhariki kushi icche subhavaartha. #Kushi is coming to Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi on 1st October (sic)," the streaming giant tweeted.
Co-starring Vennela Kishore, Saranya Pradeep and others, the film was a flop in Andhra Pradesh, an average performer in Nizam, and a super-hit in the US. Mythri Movie Makers' Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar produced it.
A week after Kushi's release in theatres, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' and Naveen Polishetty-Anushka Shetty's 'Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty' destroyed its market reach completely.
In our review, we opined that the film lacks focus. "We don't understand who to root for. The ideological clash between Lenin Sathyam (Sachin Khedekar) and Chadarangam Srinivasa Rao (Murali Sharma) is shown in a very basic manner. The nature of the climax is not novel at all," we wrote. The relationship comedy-drama was barely emotionally satisfying.
