'Ambajipeta Marriage Band' Trailer Review: Layered love story about self-respect

The title of 'Ambajipeta Marriage Band' made everyone assume that the film would be a feel-good rom-com filled with youthful vibes, fun and frolic. But the trailer, released today, conveys a contrasting emotion. The story is set in a village where caste-based social hierarchy brings suffering to the male lead, played by 'Writer Padmabhushan' actor Suhas. The protagonist plays a barber who is in love with a woman from a dominant caste.

Saranya Pradeep plays a school teacher who is harassed by a suitor. When she is dishonoured verbally, the love story of Suhas' character Malli takes unexpected turns. Goparaju Ramana plays an intense character seeking vengeance.

"The calmest hearts can hold the wildest storms. Witness the rage of Malligadu," the makers wrote, releasing the trailer.

In a refreshing turn, a newbie has been cast as the heroine. Shivani Nagaram makes her debut as the female lead.

The music is by Sekhar Chandra. The cinematography is by Wajid Baig. Editing is by Kodati Pavan Kalyan. Produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni, the film is coming from GA2 Pictures, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and Mahayana Motion Pictures.

The film is going to hit the screens on February 2.
